Bay Harbor Islands – An oasis in the heart of Miami-Dade County
January 5, 2023
Bay Harbor Islands is an oasis in the heart of Miami-Dade County which offers its residents the best of both worlds, island and urban living. It is considered one of the best places to live in all of Florida. It resembles a vibrant and private community of homes and luxury condos separated from the Miami mainland by Biscayne Bay.
The two islands making up Bay Harbor are the 105-acre East Island, consisting of multi-family housing and a small business area offering the residents a complete selection of products and services, and the 103-acre West Island for single-family homes. Nestled on the western-most part of Bay Harbor Islands, is Origin Residences – Bay Harbor, where you will enjoy spectacular sunset views, peace and tranquility yet have access to everything you could possibly need or want.
Bay Harbor Islands has its own elementary school, the Ruth K. Broad Bay Harbor K-8 Center, diverse quality shopping, a tot-lot playground, tennis courts and two beautiful parks. Other nearby notable places include Florida International University Biscayne Campus, Oleta River State Park, and Haulover Park.
Residents of Bay Harbor Islands often find themselves meandering through a quaint and elegant two block business district on Kane Concourse (96th Street). Along the beautifully landscaped concourse, there are several amazing restaurants with excellent ambience and fine dining experiences, professional offices and art installations and galleries. On the easternmost median, Robert Indiana’s “Love” sculpture stands out amongst the beautiful and majestic palms. On the western most median, Romero Britto’s “For You” sculpture shines brightly, capturing the very essence of the beautiful islands.
Bay Harbor Islands is rapidly improving and planning for an even better future. They offer their residents several arts and cultural community events such as a concert series, car show, movie nights and are in the planning stages for its first arts festival, which will take place in February of 2023.
And if that wasn’t enough, Bay Harbor Islands feature the most incredible water views of the bay, the air of relaxation the Florida sunshine and breezes deliver and the magical lights of the Miami skyline at night.
